San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Mr. Facundo provided exceptional service today. He was warm, gracious, and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The DJ created a smooth, relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience. We especially loved the pesto burrata pizza. The team also accommodated our customization request by preparing the handkerchief pasta with the Alla Vodka sauce, and it turned out absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to coming back!

Just WOW! Ate at Sonny’s tonight with my wife. First of all, we were met with the best customer service. Lady sat us in a booth which my wife and I loved because it was more intimate. Ordering was quick and easy. We started with the Bronx Bomber and the Pineapple Express. Both were phenomenal. Next we wanted to try their pasta so we went with the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. I’m not usually a fan of vodka sauce but THIS is something I’d order again and again. The cherry on top was speaking with Chef Franky. This gentleman has a passion for pizza and cooking. You could tell by the way he speaks of the ingredients they use and the science behind their dough. The food speaks for itself but great to know the entire team at Sonny’s stands on what they produce. Wife and I new go-to spot and we can’t wait to try more of the menu!

I’m already looking forward to my next visit!! Sonny’s transports you straight to your Italian grandmother’s house. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful aesthetic give this place so much charm. The food was excellent, and every dish was shareable. We sat in the cutest booth, admiring all the Italian photos around us. This spot also has a great outdoor patio and the largest pizza oven I’ve ever seen! I can’t finish this review without mentioning the service. Our server Kezi was incredibly friendly and attentive. 10/10 spot- I’d definitely recommend for date night!

Pizza was great everything else mid to bad in my opinion. Ordered white pizza which was great came out fresh and hot. Our waitress left and never told us so service as you can imagine was horrible. Pesto pasta came and and was ok not great. My son ordered spaghetti and meatballs. We all finished our meal before his arrived and then when it did the meatballs were cold. We have seen this pop up a few times on social media and we’re excited to try but unfortunately one and done for us! Too bad.
